Younique 3D Fiber Mascara- Product Review

Makeup. This is something I am not very “hip” on. I still go to Walmart or Target and pick up a few things out of the Maybelline section. Then… I wear it once or twice a month. That’s it.

Then a friend of mine (Ashlie Allen) asked me to try Younique, the 3D Fiber mascara. I really need to know what all the lash fuss was all about. Holy moly... This girl is SOLD.

I still don’t wear all the other stuff daily, but at least waking up and doing my eye makeup makes me feel like I have places to go and people to see. I really thought I was going to come here and say that the $29 wasn’t worth it, but I am now a true believer in the product. I love the results you get and the way it really transforms your day to day look. The saying holds true, "You get what you pay for!"

I had a few weeks to try it out and really play around with it. It doesn’t take a pro to make it look good, but it does take some practice. I found that putting a base coat of regular mascara worked best for me.

The mascara has a three-step process using the Transplanting Gel and Natural Fibers to help create the appearance of incredible thickness and volume to your existing lashes. The 3D Fiber Lashes are water resistant but easily wash off with warm water and facial cleanser at the end of the day. You apply the Transplanting gel on first, then the natural fibers, and last the Transplanting gel again. You can repeat the 3-steps as much as you want. **Disclaimer: They DO run if you are in a torrential down pour or rain…. Or working your butt off at the gym. Ha! I accidently did both. I just wiped clean after I finally noticed!
The top picture is with only ONE layer. I was just playing around with my "new toy!"
This second picture is NOT my eyes! I found it when I was researching the product and it was my favorite! The comparison is AH-Mazing!!
Younique is the first of its kind, direct selling company that was started by a brother and sister team. It was founded Younique in September 2012 with a mission to “uplift, empower, and validate women across the globe. Derek Maxfield and Melanie Huscroft firmly believe that all women should feel valued, smart, and empowered through opportunities of personal growth and financial reward!”

I love that mom’s (or dad’s) that are wanting to stay at home with their kids can still make an income by being a consultant for a direct selling company. I see a lot of people say they are “annoyed” by all the direct selling companies, but I think it’s inspiring how hard some of these ladies work. If you really work hard, you can be VERY successful.

Ashlie Allen is a friend I met several years ago while being stationed in Korea. Since then, she has become a mom (another baby on the way too!) and is a full time nursing student. Her drive is contagious and she works really hard. I guess when you believe in your product then big things will happen. I would rather support a mom who is working hard for her family than a HUGE chain store.

Here is Ashlie’s website information if you would like to try this yourself. I would love to see your pictures and hear what you have to say! Thank you Ashlie for letting me try this product out! You have made a customer for life!

** I was not compensated besides the actual product for this review. This is based on my own personal opinion and not the views of Younique.**
